I'm startin' to think the same thing. But that's what I've got this guy for!

[And he'll pat Poli on the head again.]

Why were you on the S.S.Anne anyway? Isn't it a cruise ship in your world?

Well uh... kinda? They were moving a lot of cargo when I saw it.

Problem being, they were Team Rocket. They didn't really take too kindly to me interfering.

[pokeboy]

Oh.

[ Oh. He looks back to his own pokémon, then breaks part of the sandwich he'd saved for himself (once closing up the book on his lap). ]

I heard they're a problem in your world too. Ash's too. [ a beat ] Silver's keen about dealing with them.

[bravefighter]

Yeah. Not so much anymore, but they were pretty annoying when they were initially around.

[He's not surprised about Silver wanting to deal with them though. He won't really talk much on that front, since that's more for Silver to spill, but he does not.]

Yeah, he's had to deal with 'em too.

[pokeboy]

[ So they were gone now for him? Did Silver say whether they were still around or not? ... it's been a while, really. ]

I hear they're still around in Ash's world. [ A half-shrug. ] Don't know about mine. I'm from the past.

[ Sure he could say more, but there isn't anything he thinks he want to. Telling him about Giovanni might be wise, uuut...

Well I mean, it's not the past for you, right? So what's it like now?

[Not like he needed to know about the future of someone else's world, anyway!]

[ Red did say about that just now, but -- making sure. ]

Yeah! Your now. I mean, I'm sure it's pretty interesting too, right?

Uhm... [ dot dot dot... ] I don't know. It's normal. It's a world with pokémon and trainers in it. Team Rocket's still around, but I don't know what they're up to.

I don't know what to tell you.

Well hey, normal isn't all that bad.

Like uh... let's see... you taking the gym challenge?

[pokeboy]

[ not ALL that bad huh punk you got a problem with normal??? Snorlax will sit on u. ]

Uh huh. [ A short nod. ] I've got four badges.

[ ... oh yeah, that reminds him- ]

Silver told me most of the gym leaders in your world are criminals.

Halfway there! That's pretty good progress.

[That does get a laugh out of him, though...]

Yeah... they kinda are. A lot of 'em were members of Team Rocket, but lately, we can really depend on them.

[pokeboy]

Depend on them for what? Running the gyms?

[bravefighter]

Well, that's one thing, yeah. A couple'a years ago, they stood up to the new Team Rocket that started popping up too.

[pokeboy]

[ There's something about hearing a future, even if the future is not concerning his own world. He frowns, but, maybe just one thing... ]

What about Giovanni?

[bravefighter]

Um... I'm not sure, actually.

[The last time he saw him was on the airship, and even then...]

It's been a while since I saw him last.

[pokeboy]

[ He can feel his shoulders stiffen, and he looks away so there's only the sight of bark and dirt to take in than another human being or pokémon.

One Giovanni was bad enough in the world -- or universe. Any universe. There should be (none) one Giovanni and no more. ]

Okay. [ Just a simple enough answer. Too simple all things considered, but there's nothing more Red wants to ask. Wasn't he only sitting here so the two venusaurs spend time together? ... ugh.

Yeah.

[Yeah he's got nothing, really. He eats his own sandwich, hugging Poli somewhat just to try to figure that all out. He really had no clue where he went after the airship battle. Everything was kind of rushed from there.

So where exactly was he? He shook his head, not trying to think too much on it. He was here before, too, so he could just ask him if he ever got the chance to again.]

[ Awkward. And now he's back to not knowing what to do; if to feign interest in his book or pick up some training with his pokémon. Maybe the guy is going to try asking more about his world and what he was doing back in it......

Not as far as I know. [ Shrug. ] Lance didn't say anything about it.

[ But uhhh, did he exactly ask? He thinks... oh yeah- ]

Lance is the Champion in my world.

Oh! Yeah, ours too. Kinda...

But he was still kinda... out there.
