[But he does laugh a little at that, at least.] Maybe, yeah. But I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you needed us to go.

[ HE IS. And that's that. Red is content to leave it at that and stare down at his book in silence.

Venusaur, however, is not, having noticed the atmosphere changing and particularly that of it around her trainer. It wasn't not suspected to the pokémon with what she knew what was causing this, but she was fine with allowing her trainer deal with it as he wanted to.

She rises now, scent shaking off her petals with the steps she takes to walk to where the other venusaur rests. It makes Red look up at her and want to question what she's doing, but he keeps his mouth shut and frowns down at the whatever in his hands.

Hello, Saur. Can she join you? ]

[Red's wondering that himself, though he's not really all that worried. he just watches her wander on over, chuckling a little to himself, if anything.

But yeah! Saur doesn't mind. He nods next to him, not really minding the company. Normally it's just him and his trainer, so having another Pokemon join him, especially one of his own species, is a nice change of pace.]

[ Geez Saur, you come rushing over here because of venusaur senses and you make the lady initiate conversation!! What a weirdo.

Not that girl Saur minds but boy Saur is still a baka if you ask me.

But Venusaur has come here to suggest to Saur that if his trainer would like better luck with talking to her trainer, speaking to the trainer with long red hair would be what he should do first. Or the one they call Gold.

... but how you will communicate that to your trainer is to you to figure out (tbqh sorry bro). ]

But really... ? He'll keep that in mind. He knows where they are so he should be able to lead him their way. Somehow.

Yeah he has no idea how, but he'll figure it out. Thanks for the advice, Lady Saur! He nods her way, smiling as much as a Venusaur can really. He does appreciate it.]

[ Dorky venusaur smiles don't melt Red's heart....!!!

But Lady Saur will stay put here, returning the nod with a tip of her head and then resting it. Pikachu and Snorlax are gonna call it quits on the whole messing around with electricity thing, Snorlax interrupting any silence there might be with the thump of his butt onto the ground -- right next to older Red. He wants to eat stuff too!

And Pikachu's going to join younger Red, tilting his head to his trainer but going over to Lady Saur when the boy just shakes his head. ]

[Wow how!!

Red doesn't mind! He pulls out a couple more sandwiches, knowing they won't really be enough, but... he tosses the sandwiches Snorlax's way. He continues munching on his own, before... oh right. He should pull out his other Pokemon too, shouldn't he?

Which is he clicks the pokeballs on his belt, releasing Pika who runs up to Red's shoulder, staying close much like the other Red's, while Poli just plops down between his legs.]

[ The sandwiches are gone without much time to see daylight - alas, what a sad, sad tale. There's no thanks, just the sounds of eating such food whole and then a grunt when Snorlax extends a paw-y hand out for more. Give him.

Pikachu, when he sees the familiar face come out, squeaks in surprise and gives the other guy a hello. Hey, long time no see! (waaave)

Venusaur gives out a greeting to the new faces politely, and Red - he peeks a look to the new company, eyeing in particular the poliwrath. He knows the pokémon, doesn't have one himself but seen it around, and it's been a while in general since he's gotten to see one in the flesh and so up close.

It...it's not like he cares or he's curious or interested, baka! Look, look at the way he looks back to his book!! (and then back at Poli again) ]

[Y'know, it might be better to just take a couple sandwiches out and hand the Snorlax the whole basket. Even that probably won't help, but it's still more than a couple sandwiches.

Pika, however, looks away, but does a wave back anyway. Sup dude. It's been a while. Even with his nonchalant look, Pika is pretty excited to see him, all things considered.

But Red and Poli both notice the eyes on him, before Red laughs lightly.]

He was my starter, y'know. It's kinda weird, since most of the time you hear about people startin' with Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander, right?

[He pats Poli on the head.]

But this guy's been with me since I was real little.

[ It's a start, Red. It's a start.

Pikachu doesn't mind the cool guy look, though he tilt his does head some at it - but hey, whatevs. Been up to anything??? ]

I don't hear about it in my world. [ Sure, it was the three choices he had, but it wasn't common (as far as he knew). Red shrugs lightly. ] People start with whoever they get.

[ Or so he assumes. He looks again at Poli, a little more curious. ]

... but how did you two meet?

[Just y'know. Training. Getting better.]

Guess that's pretty common too, yeah. [But his friends usually started with a starter, so he has no idea.]

Dunno! He just kinda wandered over once when I was little. We've been pretty attached ever since.

[ That's because they got to be all buddy or whatever with professors!! ]

Yeah? [ Huh. Did a pokémon ever wander over to him when he was younger? .... that's so forever ago, and they obviously didn't stick with him. ]

...He must've thought you'd make good friends. [ He adds that, not wanting to just leave it with 'yeah'. Sounds nice, really... ]
