[Saur nods. Yup, that seems to be the case! Now that he's used so much energy though... Saur decides to park his butt nearby to rest.]

[ Huh. .... that's weird. Is it a venusaur thing? But he guesses that if there was only one other human around, he'd want to hang out with them too.

[ Snorlax's head perks up!!!-- oh. Wait. Training, right. ]

Huh? You sure? I mean, do you have enough of 'em? You're the one trainin' and getting hungry, not me.

[Not that he minds, just... !]

It's okay, we've got two bags of food. [ He shrugs a bit. ] Unless you're going to eat them all.

[ Those bags, sitting upright! But then there's the containers of food there on the blanket, along with some bottles of water and two pokéballs. ]

[He might as well take him up on his offer then, making his away over to the blanket and food.]

But nah, I'm not gonna eat it all. I'm not my snorlax, after all!

[ Well then. Red will dig out the staff from the ground with a wiggle. ]

I don't think you'd want to in front of my snorlax either. [ He then pauses, looking at his weapon before looking over to Red. Waving around a stick in front of him would be kind of awkward...

He relaxes his arms by his sides and goes over to the blanket, Saur watching him with one eye. Down goes the weapon onto the ground and Red takes a seat by the edge, eyes half on the other Red as he does, even as he reaches over for a notepad looking book to flip onto a... page. Any page. Yep. Let's read this. ]

Probably not, yeah!

[He doesn't wanna get hit, okay... ! Not that he's too worried.

Though when Red sits down, he smiles, scooting closer when he starts flipping through a notepad. Sorry Red, that's not a good enough thing to deter him!]

[ HE... HE DIDN'T ASK YOU TO GET CLOSER TO HIM, STUPID! ]

It's a spellbook. [ And he lifts it up closer to himself when Red gets near, just for a moment at least. ] I'm learning from it.

That sounds pretty interesting! You were messing with light stuff before, right? What're you working on now?

[ He looks back and forth between Red and the book, but then lets it rest down on his legs. From what Red will be able to see there's a strange language on it, as well as pictures of strange symbols. ]

This is different from that. I have to learn to read what all this stuff means. [ He shakes his head. ] I can't do any of this yet.

{Yeah, from what he can see... that language does look pretty interesting. And by interesting he means he has no idea what any of it means.]

Well, m'sure you'll get it! You've just gotta keep at it.

[ LATIN, RED. DO YOU SPEAK IT? ]

Mmm. [ Just. Humming to that. He shifts to crane the book in his arms, holding it in his hands from the top. Sorry he's not going to make this easy for you, Red. Especially not after a comment like that either. He's got a book to read (and by read, we mean look down and absorb nothing about it). ]

But that's fine! He doesn't mind. He's figured out what he was curious about, anyway, so instead of talking more he'll just go ahead and go for one of those sandwiches to munch on. Probably grab one for Saur too.]

[ OKAY COOL, YOU DO THAT. Pikachu's looked back a few times at the two humans, but Snorlax has stopped him from doing that because yo, let 'em do what they want, we're training here.

Red isn't without his questions either for the other guy, but while he might consider making conversation, he's pretty sure he doesn't want to. Too weird. But should he let some stupid thing between Gold and him stop him from talking to this guy as might've without that happening?

Ash and Cilan too...?

Haven't actually run into 'em yet! But I'm sure I'd be friends with them and hang out with them once I do.

Well, they're close friends with each other... they're from the same world. They travelled together too. [ flipping... page... ] Cilan was a gym leader from Unova, and Ash is from Pallet Town too. [ um ] Like me.

Oh, really? That's super neat! I know I had a couple of my friends from back home here too.

But yeah, I've heard about Ash! He's pretty similar to us too, but I haven't been runnin' around with gym leaders in a while.

You have Silver and Gold here, don't you? Or, Gold and you sounded close.

Ash's been travelling around for a long time. He's been going from region to region. ...You and him should hang out. He's a fun guy.
